GP Louisiana FCU (GPLAFCU) is a 3-branch credit union located in southwestern Louisiana.
THE CHALLENGE
GPLAFCU wanted to grow their following on social media but didn’t have the time and resources internally to do so.
THE SOLUTION
GPLAFCU partnered with image.works to get their Facebook page up and rolling, as they only had one follower, we suggested grill giveaway and employee spotlight to get members interested. To increase engagement, those wanting to enter the giveaway for the free gas grill had to like GPLAFCU’s Facebook page in order to be eligible, with extra chances to win if they shared the contest post and tagged friends. Along with an attention-getting video of the grill on Facebook, image.works promoted the giveaway with an email, statement inserts, lobby posters and a homepage banner that linked right to the Facebook page.
THE RESULTS

This approach paved the way for a successful campaign. In just two months, GP Louisiana’s Facebook page jumped from one follower to 396, and the credit union’s Facebook community continues to grow.
