What started as a chilly Wisconsin day with a foot of snow on the ground, one canceled flight and a 1.5-hour delay on the tarmac ended in the Sunshine State with three longtime image.works employees ready to take on the 2023 CUNA conference. This year, the conference was held in Orlando from March 26 – 29, and image.works was proud to be a presenter at the conference as well as a sponsor of the Diamond Awards dinner.
This conference offers credit unions and marketing professionals the opportunity to network, attend sessions and participate in conversations regarding marketing and business development. Our Director of National Sales, Emilee Schultz; Director of Digital Marketing, Lyndsey Bishop; and Senior National Account Manager, Logan Postweiler, were the friendly faces that greeted current and potential clients at our booth.
For the first time ever, we offered LIVE digital marketing assessments to people who had registered prior to the conference. The purpose of these FREE digital assessments is to provide an in-depth look at your organization’s website health and compare your digital efforts with those of your competitors. From these assessments you can gain valuable insight and we can help provide you with tips and tricks to improve your digital presence. If you’re interested in receiving a free digital marketing assessment for your organization, you can sign up here!
Coincidentally, a big theme of this year’s conference was digital marketing. Having an online presence is crucial to reaching your audience and having just a website isn’t enough. If you want potential accountholders to find your financial institution online, you have to stand out (and we can help with that!).
Another hot topic was deposits. As interest rates have risen, financial institutions are seeing an uptick in deposit accounts and a downward trend in loan growth. This has forced many institutions to choose between increasing what they pay for a deposit relationship or risk losing consumers to competitors.
Although it’s no surprise that conferences are a lot of work, the experience is always so rewarding. After postponing the conference for a couple years due to the pandemic, people were eager to get back out there and have face-to-face interactions again. Ayoka Stewart, vice president of marketing and business development, and Jennifer Walters, marketing specialist, at MembersFirst Credit Union got to spend some time with the image.works team outside of the conference.
Ayoka had nothing but kind words to say about the experience. “Thank you so much for a fun and authentic evening,” she said. “image.works rocks, but the image.works team we work with is even more phenomenal.”
image.works is already planning for next year, and we look forward to meeting even more friendly faces!
“I’ve been going to this conference since 2014, and this was the best CUNA conference I’ve been to.” Emilee said. “Our booth was so busy that we barely had time to sit down. We met so many people and had people come back multiple times just to chat. We loved it and can’t wait for next year.”
