A few of our favorite things here at image.works are gaining knowledge, sharing our expertise and interacting with clients. Where is a better place to do that than at a conference? Account manager Liz Miles attended The Financial Brand Forum in Las Vegas for the first time this year, so we asked her to share her top takeaways and highlights from the trip.

Can you give a short summary of what The Financial Brand Forum is? 
This conference has lots of informative speakers that discuss all things financial. It's the one time of year that banks and credit unions come together to learn more about the industry. The “next thing” is always the top discussion. Last year it was IP targeting; this year it was AI.

What was unique about attending this conference? 
Being in Vegas gives you such a variety of activities to do after show days. But I also think this conference in general has speakers that are very impressive.

How did you get to interact with other industry leaders and attendees?
Banks and credit unions are the main focus, but there are booths from a lot of other industries as well. Throughout the weekend, other exhibitors come and talk with us and share ideas and discussion topics that they are hearing from attendees.

What was the best advice you heard? 
Stay ahead. Technology is growing, and you need to start now in order to keep up.

Were you surprised by anything you heard? 
Not really. image.works tends to know the industry trends before others because of our large range of financial clients. I was happy to hear AI was a larger conversation though, because it is a good resource but needs to be used correctly. 

Is there anything you’re going to implement more now?
I'm definitely going to continue speaking about digital marketing with clients. But print is still alive too! Using multiple marketing channels tends to be the best strategy.

What was the highlight of the trip for you? 
I loved being able to meet my clients! Getting dinner with them was a highlight, for sure. Talking over video is great but seeing them in person helps to build the relationship so much. I also really enjoyed the variety of speakers and topics I could go listen to.
