Client Spotlight: Time-Tested Relationship Key to Point Breeze Credit Union's Success

Point Breeze Credit Union’s partnership with began long before its current marketing manager, Dawn Atwood, worked for the credit union.

But she understands why the partnership has lasted for almost 12 years. The Hunt Valley, Maryland-based company is one of the largest credit unions in Maryland but has a small marketing team and relies on dedication at every level for success.

“It’s very important to us to choose service partners we can rely on and who make it easy for us to achieve our goals,” Atwood says. “We see the team at as a valuable extension of our team.”

Point Breeze Credit Union is familiar with long-lasting relationships. The company culture is what drew Atwood to the credit union’s marketing team eight years ago.

“I was really impressed by the number of tenured employees,” she recalls. “I figured, if so many people stayed there for 10, 15 or 20-plus years, it must be a really great place to work.”

Back in 2008, Atwood says the credit union’s senior vice president and director of marketing received one of our design catalogues. Her eye was drawn to the “fresh, contemporary” styles.

Since then, we’ve worked together on everything from redesigning brochures to creating eye-catching newsletters, annual reports and more. We also started Point Breeze’s new member onboarding program and a reboarding program to engage inactive members – both of which started as direct mail pieces and grew into advanced Marketing Automation platforms.

“We have benefited from’ extensive experience working with financial institutions, particularly their knowledge of the many regulatory requirements facing credit unions’ marketing and advertising efforts,” Atwood says.

But it’s the personal touch that Atwood is so fond of. Each’ client is assigned a creative team, which remains the same throughout our partnership – and that leads to smooth workflow and quality design.

“We have a dedicated designer, who over the years has gotten to know our brand and our likes and dislikes, which helps to reduce the number of edits required to arrive at a finished product,” she says.

Point Breeze may be Atwood’s first experience in the credit union industry, but it’s been a satisfying one. She likes finding new ways to engage members in achieving their financial goals.

“I really enjoy the challenge of taking an ordinary task like banking and making it interesting and relevant in messages to members and our community,” Atwood says.

Overcoming those challenges is more rewarding when she knows she has a quality team to help her get the job done right. We look forward to furthering our relationship with Atwood and Point Breeze Credit Union for years to come!
