
Dan McCarthy began working at Del-One Federal Credit Union in 2019 because he was drawn to the credit union philosophy: People Helping People. Dan shared, “I was intrigued by Del-One's community outreach initiatives, their statewide presence and their reputation for being advocates for their members.” Having previously held executive roles at larger organizations, he wanted to be able to assist members on their financial journeys and build up their community.
What do you enjoy most about the services you provide?
I think we have something that can help a member regardless of where they are on their financial journey. With everything from youth accounts to high yield savings accounts, mortgages, auto loans and IRAs, we have products and services that make sense for the large variety of member needs.
Is there a project you’re really proud of?
One of my favorite products is our new Rainy Day Savings Account. It pays higher interest on savings up to $1,000 and allows a rounded-up amount of every debit card purchase to be deposited into the account. It’s an easy way for members to save and be prepared for an emergency or just that “rainy day.”
What valuable nugget of marketing know-how would you give to your younger self?
Word-of-mouth marketing will always be the most effective form of marketing, good or bad. How you make a member feel can make or break an organization. If you provide an amazing experience, the member will tell their friends and family and that is how you build trust and loyalty while growing your membership.
What brought you to image.works?
We were looking for a company with a strong handle on digital marketing and SEO. After some research, image.works kept popping up on our radar as a company we wanted to find out more about.
How has your organization benefited from image.works’ products and services?
Our Account Manager Liz Miles has been excellent at keeping us on task and finding ways to improve our services. We work closely with Digital Marketing Strategist Kacey Kaderly who meets with us monthly and has been instrumental in helping us to improve our SEO and online presence and helping us to understand the analytics behind everything we do.
What do you appreciate about working with image.works?
As mentioned above, Liz and Kacey are amazing and go above and beyond to not only answer our questions but provide feedback, ideas and solutions to help us reach our goals. We know when we ask them a question or have an idea, they are there to assist us every step of the way.
