Daisy Gutierrez, the marketing manager for Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, originally joined the hospital as a patient advocate. And while she loved helping people one-on-one, Daisy decided to pivot and join the marketing team. Today, she helps spread the word about all the amazing work at Ridgecrest. In 2021, the Ridgecrest team connected with image.works, and we’ve been assisting with their newsletters and annual reports ever since. We talked with Daisy recently about her role and the work she’s done with image.works.
What brought you to image.works?
Our marketing director was looking for new, fresh digital magazines and annual reports. She loved the style and how efficient and easy it was to work with the image.works team. I was then assigned to also work with image.works on these projects. For me, it was easy to get in touch with the image.works team. Even though most of our work is done via email, I still feel we still get an opportunity to get to know each other and get a feel of what styles/concepts we like that fit our brand.
What do you appreciate about working with image.works?
The image.works team is always very professional and helpful, and I know they are committed to helping create wonderful reports for us to share with our staff and community. I also appreciate their patience if for some reason I don’t agree on a certain design/concept. They work with me until I’m 100% happy with the final design.
What motivated you to choose healthcare services as a career?
I first started out as a patient advocate at our hospital. It was a very intense job, but I knew that I loved helping people and making sure that they had access to everything that is available. Working in marketing for the hospital also helps get information out to our community, and I love knowing that I am helping someone find a new job through our campaigns, increasing patient connections through successful patient stories and social media posts, and bringing awareness about healthcare to our community.
What do you enjoy most about working in healthcare?
What I enjoy most about working in healthcare is being able help make patient connections and help build that loyalty and long-term relationship. I also love that I get to build relationships with many non-profit organizations in the community and we can come together to help make this town a better place.
What marketing tips and tricks have made your life easier?
For me, knowing I can use image.works to help makes my job a lot easier. Being able to collaborate is a fun way to learn new design elements, and it keeps your brand fresh. Also, planning out our calendar with social media posts and having everything scheduled ahead of time makes life so much easier.
