
At image.works, we realize our clients are the reason for our success, and our new “Client Spotlight” posts give us the opportunity to highlight some of the inspiring individuals with whom we feel so privileged to work. This quarter, we’re thrilled to feature Bonita Vega from Shell Western States FCU!
Bonita’s current title is Business Development Manager (BDM), but her role requires her to wear many hats. Working for a smaller organization, she’s found that there’s a lot to learn, but she’s always happy to do so.
“I’ve found skills in content creation and learned a lot about website and social media management, SEO, and all the different ways in which to reach our target market. I have to say, I am grateful for this experience in which I have truly grown and learned so much.”
Even more impressive, Bonita wasn’t originally looking for an opportunity like this. She stumbled upon her current role almost by accident.
“I had a profile from years back that prompted CU BDM jobs to be sent to my inbox, and there it was. Once I saw that this little credit union had never before had a BDM or in-house marketing role, I realized that this was a great opportunity to put my years of experience to really good use and help grow the organization.”
She doesn’t just love Shell Western States FCU, she also loves the products and services that they offer. She says, “They are the best! … We are very competitive and strive to beat the competition on all fronts; we must in order to grow.”
If you’re a younger professional looking for some wisdom, Bonita has some sage advice she would have loved to tell her younger self: “I would probably tell my younger self to learn other areas of marketing, not just what I am hired to do. To truly achieve the big picture, you have to be well-rounded on how to get there.”
Along with appreciating what she’s learned, she’s especially grateful for the work that she does with image.works.
“We have been given an entire team of various professionals truly at our fingertips, to help us with any project we wish to take on. And we get to decide when, what, and how we choose to use this great resource. Because their services are à la carte, we can adjust for budget, or preference, and appreciate the fact that we have no contract tying us down to any one thing.”
And to save Bonita time and stress, our team is dedicated to making sure that she doesn’t have to worry about wearing even more hats. She’s grateful for knowing that her image.works team is basically an extension of her team at Shell Western States FCU.
“I cannot stress it enough about their communication! Never am I left wondering what’s going on, where are we on this project, or why haven’t I heard back from someone. Communication has been so consistent, and with each and every person I have interacted with. Even when someone is out of the office, there is always a backup ready to respond and help me with my questions/projects.
